I’m also a mom to an almost 6 month little boy.

I love anything STEM related, although math is not my strong suite. I also love being creative!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Safety first. Keeping a child safe is my number one priority, before anything else. This includes keeping information about families to myself, not sharing a families address with anyone, and keeping a watchful eye not only on a child but those around the child as well. When children are safe, you then can create a fun, enriching environment for children to thrive in. Creating an environment for children to thrive in, means going beyond meeting their basic needs. Knowing that not all children are the same and every child has different (emotional, mental, physical) needs, plays a huge part in creating a safe and enriching environment. Those are my priorities.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children on the autism spectrum. I also have ADHD myself, and can relate to children who struggle with that as well. I would not hesitate to take care of a child with any special needs, but I don’t have solid experience in doing so, in regards to handling medical equipment.
