Whether we’re baking something simple, reading a fun story, or building a fort in the living room, I always try to make sure they feel safe, happy, and heard. I want them to enjoy their time while still having structure and support.

One of my favorite nanny moments was when a little girl I watched gave me a big hug at the end of the day and said, “I wish you could live with us.” It completely melted my heart. We had spent the day playing, laughing, and just enjoying each other’s company, and that small comment reminded me how much kids notice and appreciate the people who make them feel safe and loved. It’s those little moments that remind me why I love doing this so much.
