Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was a lead teacher at Josiah Christian School from January 2024 to April 2024. I worked in the 2 year old room with 12 kids Monday - Friday. I had to leave for personal reasons, which I’m happy to explain.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing arts and crafted with kids. I like to paint their hand prints and make something cute out of them. I love singing with kids their dances are too cute. I love coloring with kids because their imaginations are incredible.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure emotional and physical needs are met. Trying to calm down a screaming/crying child is overwhelming but when they realize that you are there to protect them and they learn to trust you is so valuable.
My experience with special needs children...
I only have limited experience with special needs children. I worked with a nonverbal 2 year old who was autistic it was easy to understand him once we got a little more one on one time together and he understood that he could trust me. I know that autistic children have different personalities and struggles.
The most important part about being a nanny...
(Not nanny moment) My favorite memory was when I worked at a daycare and the kids did assisted arts and crafts. I made hand print Easter eggs that the kids got to decorate on their own. They loved their inventions and they were so proud of them.
