I was always the one who watched the little ones at the family parties, so apart from working at a daycare for 6 years. I have cared for little ones since I was about 15 years old. The most important part about being a nanny...

Understanding that not every child’s needs are the same, so being patient and listening. Or, sometimes even depending on age, just trial and error until you figure out what it is they want and need. As well as caring, loving, and most importantly, teaching them, and being First Aid/CPR certified.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with kids on the autism spectrum on all levels. Working with them takes a lot of patience, and that’s one thing I am forever grateful that I have. Sometimes, all they need is someone who is very understanding and can attend to their needs as needed

The most important part about being a nanny...

I don’t think I have one because I believe all the days and memories I make with them are cherished, truly. Catching a photo/video everyday is my favorite thing to collect as a memory though!
