More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My relevant childcare experience includes working in accredited early learning centers alongside Early Childhood Education professionals, where I cared for children of various ages and developmental stages, including multiple children at once. I also have an ECE background and early experience working as a Medical Assistant, which gave me a strong foundation in safety, health, organization, and attentive care. These experiences have helped me develop a well-rounded approach to childcare that combines nurturing, developmental support, structure, and a strong awareness of each child’s individual needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy singing, dancing, reading, arts and crafts, imaginative and pretend play, music, and creative activities. Most importantly, I like to learn what each child enjoys and use their interests to create fun, engaging experiences. I believe children learn best when they are genuinely interested and having fun, so I enjoy following their lead while introducing activities that encourage creativity, curiosity, confidence, and development.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and trusting environment where a child feels loved, respected, heard, and free to be themselves. It’s also about building trust with the parents and becoming someone they can confidently rely on to care for their child as an individual, not just follow a routine. Every child is different, and I believe great childcare means getting to know the child, supporting their development, and helping them feel secure while they learn and grow.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for children with a variety of special needs and developmental differences, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and behavioral challenges. I understand that every child is unique and may require different levels of support, patience, communication, structure, and flexibility. I’m comfortable adapting routines and activities to meet a child’s individual abilities and needs, including needs that may not be behavioral in nature. My goal is always to help each child feel safe, supported, included, and confident while encouraging their independence and development.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It’s honestly difficult to choose just one favorite nanny moment because there have been so many special memories over the years. I’ve loved being able to experience the world through the children’s eyes, from celebrating holidays and creating festive traditions, seeing Christmas lights, visiting apple orchards and botanical gardens, and attending birthday parties, to traveling and exploring new places together.
Some of my favorite moments have been supporting the children at their dance recitals, sporting events, school activities, and other milestones. I love being the person in the audience cheering them on and letting them know how proud I am of their accomplishments. For me, the most rewarding part of being a nanny is not just the everyday care, but being present for those little and big moments that children remember, and creating happy memories along the way.
