Hello, my name is Kay and I have a little more than 8 years of experience in child care. I have worked as a babysitter, a caregiver, and a preschool teacher over the years. I have worked in several daycares and preschools over the years. I’m also a trained early intervention specialist. I’m a mom of 4 boys, an aunt to 3 boys and 1 girl, and the oldest child in the family among my siblings and cousins.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I’m an artist so I love doing arts and crafts with children. Science activities are so much fun to do inside and outside depending on the activity. I love watching their faces light up with the cool reactions to projects we do. Children learn the most through play so that is something I always focus on when working with them.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for many different types of special needs in children. As an early intervention specialist I worked with kids who had developmental delays. I also worked with young children with disabilities such as hearing impairment, vision impairment, cerebral palsy, speech impairment, autism spectrum disorder, sensory disorders, and more. My two youngest sons have autism and sensory processing disorders.
