A little bit about me

Hi! I am Kayan, somethings about me would be: I have a twin brother, and also 3 other siblings. Me and my brother are the oldest, so we grew up helping mom look after the other kids after dad had to go back to his home country. I grew up in a big community with lots of kids to hang out with, and as I got older, I had a lot of opportunity to take care of the younger kids in the area. We would do summer camps, sports days, and all kinds of events like that. I worked one year in an after school program as well, and worked with a large spectrum of kids from 5th to 8th grade. Many of my friends are now married with kids, and I always find myself babysitting! I can't wait to be a father myself, and so naturally I enjoy looking after other children. I can cook and clean, although I am strictly vegetarian/vegan. I love all kinds of games and can be very creative in engaging, and I am also extremely gentle and caring.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Outdoors, play acting, reading, arts&crafts, creative games/projects. I also love music and it would be great doing musical activities. I'm a big sports fan as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say developing meaningful relationships with the child, and parents. There is something special about those relationships of trust and comfort. It is extremely rewarding to not only look after a child but to also have a positive memorable impact on them.
