More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I began my childcare career as a nanny, where I worked with families for 4+ years caring for children of different ages and supporting daily household routines. My responsibilities included meal prep, transportation, children’s laundry, homework help, and creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
I later transitioned into the classroom as an infant teacher, focusing on infant care, developmental activities, feeding schedules, and early childhood development. After that, I worked as a Program Assistant for an enrichment program serving children ages 6–14, where I provided academic support, mentorship, homework help, enrichment activities, and STEM learning experiences.
Most recently, I worked as a private family doula and infant night care specialist, supporting families with postpartum care, overnight infant care, lactation support, feeding routines, soothing techniques, and establishing healthy nighttime routines for newborns.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love creating fun, engaging, and enriching experiences for children both indoors and outdoors. I enjoy activities such as arts & crafts, STEM projects, imaginative play, dress-up, playing “chef,” reading, educational games, and encouraging children to use their creativity and confidence during playtime. I also enjoy outdoor activities like trips to the children’s museum, the aquarium, parks, swimming activities, and simply playing outside and staying active. My goal is always to make learning fun while creating a safe, loving, and positive environment where children can grow, explore, and truly enjoy being kids. I am also CPR and First Aid trained.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most rewarding part of being a nanny for me is watching a child grow and blossom over time. Seeing their confidence, personality, and learning skills develop, and knowing I played a small part in that journey, is truly one of the sweetest and most fulfilling feelings.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience working with children with autism and ADHD within both classroom and childcare settings. Through those experiences, I learned how important patience, consistency, and genuine connection are when supporting children with different needs and personalities. Some of the children I worked with were nonverbal, which taught me how to pay close attention to social cues, body language, emotions, and behaviors to better understand their needs. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, understood, included, and loved. I take time to build trust, learn each child’s unique personality, and create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable, encouraged, and able to thrive at their own pace.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was during a rainy day when one of the little ones I cared for was feeling bored and a little sad that we couldn’t go outside. So we turned the kitchen into our own little restaurant. We made handmade menus, wore aprons, played music, and spent the afternoon pretending to cook and serve food to each other. Seeing how excited and confident they became throughout the day honestly made my heart happy. By the time their parents came home, they ran to the door so proudly saying, “I’m a chef now!” It was such a simple moment, but it reminded me how special being a nanny really is, creating memories, making children feel seen, and bringing joy into their everyday little moments.

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Fayetteville, GA: Malia W.
I’m 18 years old. Finishing up high school. I have three younger siblings. I absolutely love children. I volunteer at my grandparent’s church for Vacation Bible school, where many children come out for the summer and learn about the Lord but also have fun with different activities and outings. This will be my first paid child care job, however I feel as though I have the best experience growing up with three little brothers. I wish nothing but to lighten parents’ loads and ensure your children are in the best care.

I took care of my younger siblings (babysat) all of my life and I have taken care of elderly family members. I’d love to be able to help out your family with babysitting, light household chores or even a few errands around town.
I’m super creative and love to read, paint, be out in nature. I also have experience with animals and volunteer work.
Thanks for reading and feel free to reach out with any questions!

Also, I don’t have paid childcare experiences but I like to think I am very good with children. There’s always been small children in my life and family I’ve taken care of.
