I love getting the kids outside and letting their imagination soar! On days the weather doesn’t keep, I will play cards, board games, arts and crafts, hide and seek, among many other activities!

To be consistent. Have good boundaries and respect in place, for myself as well as the family involved. Putting the kids first, and knowing my value in the work and time I spend doing.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I once watched a little girl who at first did not want me there. She would go out of her way to make my job difficult. But watching her behavior, and not reacting rashly, I figured out she just wanted structure, and balance. She kept having people come and go and no one was reliable. I made it clear I was there as long as her parents needed me. And she softened and began to trust me as time went on. And when that happened she thrived, in social setting, in school, in every day life. It was beautiful to be a part of that.
