During my senior year of high school, I shadowed a kindergarten classroom for a few months. I helped keep the classroom clean and organized, assisted the kids with reading and their computer work, and participated in fun activities with them. I really enjoyed getting to work with the kids and being able to help them learn.

When babysitting my nieces and nephews, we would do different activities like coloring, playing with toys, playing volleyball outside, watching movies, and playing games together. I also enjoy coming up with fun things to keep them entertained and involved.

My most important qualities as a nanny are being patient, responsible, caring, and attentive. I believe it’s important to make sure children feel safe and comfortable while also keeping them engaged with fun, age-appropriate activities. I’m also dependable and understand the importance of communicating with parents and following their routines and expectations.

I have about six months of community service experience working with children and adults with special needs. I assisted with activities like bowling, helped with standing and mobility when needed, kept track of scores, and helped with food and other basic needs.

One of my favorite nanny moments was watching a child I was babysitting take their first steps. It was such a sweet moment, and I loved being able to be there and watch them reach such a big milestone.
