Hi, my name is Kayla. I am 18 years old. I have 10 siblings total ranging from 2 years old to 24, also another little sister on the way. Growing up my mom owned a daycare and she taught me a lot of important life skills and one of those would be taking care of children. I absolutely adore being around kids and taking care of them. I am also a high school graduate and can work full time. I would say I am responsible, a good communicator, trustworthy, and always have a positive attitude. I understand taking care of kids can be a harder job than people think, but I would say I am good under pressure and can help them with their needs weather they are hungry, want to play with someone, or even need help with their homework. I have my own transportation, I am comfortable around pets, and lasty I have a really flexible schedule.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

With my mom owning a daycare I have a lot of experience taking care of all ages of kids. After my mom got pregnant the first time once I was older, she started working from home, so I babysat a lot, I fell in love with taking care of kids and understanding them. Also, my siblings have friends so I would always help take care of them too and make sure they stay in their daily and nightly routines.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Some activities I enjoy doing with kids are mostly hands on activates for a learning experience. I love doing arts and crafts, reading with them, and depending on their age, teaching them how to cook. I also love outside activates to keep the kids active and depending on the season would determine what outdoor activates we could do. In summer I like to go on walks with them, take them to the park, and also bike rides. In winter I like going out in the snow with them, taking them sledding, and many more winter activates.

The most important part about being a nanny is about their safety but also having fun with the kids and having them in a good environment.

My experience with special needs children...

I have two cousins with special needs and also grew up with friends with special needs. I helped assist in taking care of them at my house when my mom would need the extra help. Also, with my mom's daycare we had special needs kids. I have also helped with kids with delusion disorder all types.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when this little girl had thrown up everywhere and I could help reassure her it was okay and it happens and helped clean her help and go along with our day.
