A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Kayla, and I recently decided to leave my current job as a Receptionist. I have always known I have wanted to work with kids in the future. My passion is kids and the joy they bring me. I have always been one of the older cousins and oldest sibling so I started learning how to be a mom/babysitter around the age of 8. My parents took my brother and I out of daycare when I was in about 5th grade and I have been the family sitter since. I absolutely love working with kids. I find that being a nanny allows me to express my creativity and imagination with children. I am also fond of helping children learn and grow, and the love I receive back from the children in my care is often worth much more than any paycheck. Although, I know trust with your kids, especially a stranger, is huge. I can’t wait to hear back from you and would happily provide any references needed.

I worked with kids in High School around 2015/16 with essential academic children. I also have always been the family babysitter for my huge family. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

There isn’t one thing that I can honestly think of that I don’t enjoy doing with kids. Working with children has always been my passion and any activities that keep the children busy/educated/active is always important. I didn’t grow up with cell phones to play with so I am big about being outside with children, unless asked otherwise.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love being a nanny because every day is different. While we do have routines and some specific things needed to be done upon request of the parents, I love the flexibility to be able to go out on a new adventure every day. Learning and exploring the world through the eyes of a child are truly the best, and no two days of growing are the same.

My experience with special needs children...

I worked with Essential Academic kids back in High School (2015/16). My absolute favorite part was meeting such amazing, sweet and kind hearted kids. At the end of the year they do a track meet so I did participate with my 3 kids assigned to me and I absolutely loved to see the smiles on their face after the events. So no, I don’t have too much to experience but I would never turn down an opportunity to help babysit a child.
