My name is Kayla and I have over 14 years of experience as a nanny and am currently looking for my next adventure and would love to help your family! I am CPR/First Aid certified, have my own reliable vehicle and am also a certified postpartum doula and lactation consultant too! I have experience working with children of all ages and am passionate about fostering each child’s imagination through play based learning. I can assist with light housekeeping, cooking nutritious meals (I took culinary tech in high school 🙂), running errands and getting kids to and from school, sports, appointments, or whatever you need done. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I am a certified birth and postpartum doula and lactation consultant. I previously worked at Heartworks as a teacher’s assistant also. I also used to do some tutoring part time.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing outside (weather permitting), including going to the park, age appropriate hikes and geocaching, taking trips to the beach, etc. I am passionate about music and theater and absolutely love doing arts and crafts of all kinds. I crochet myself and do a little bit of knitting and sewing and love to teach it to others when if they are interested! I will happily play restaurant or pretend store, help put on a puppet show, play babies/barbies or anything of the sort! It’s so fun and helps keep my imagination alive too 😅 Building forts, playing hide and seek, you name it- I’m always down! I love to have fun!

My experience with special needs children...

I do have experience working with children with autism, ADHD/ADD, Down syndrome and diabetes. I am always willing to learn how I can best be of assistance to your family. If your child has another need that I might not currently have experience with, that doesn’t deter me at all. Teach me how to help and I will do my absolute best to meet your child’s specific needs. I actually have an ileostomy bag myself (it’s a type of colostomy bag) and I understand that every person is unique and has their own struggles. I will never judge or be afraid to help!
