Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I used to volunteer with the Special Olympics in my sorority. This gave me the opportUnity to work with special needs children. I also would babysit in the summer during college. There was a family of 3 children I would babysit. I would take the daughter to gymnastics camp and pick her up, occupy the youngest son, and check in on the oldest son. While it’s not the same, I also volunteered at the veterans center and would care for elderly veterans as well. I was in the recreation department, so I would help plan and execute activities.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love art, so any activities where we can create art are always successful. I’m a big fan of picnics, playgrounds, and pretend. I think the key is to stimulate the mind in the process!
