To me, the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children feel loved, understood, and encouraged to grow. It’s about building trust—not just with the children, but with the parents as well—so that everyone feels confident and comfortable.

While I haven’t worked as a nanny yet, one of my favorite experiences as a Teacher Assistant in a special education classroom was helping one of my students learn how to communicate using picture cards. At first, they were frustrated and struggled to express their needs, but with daily support, patience, and encouragement, they started using the cards on their own.
