The most important part about being a nanny...
I think it is so important to have clear expectations, honest conversations, goals, and a plan from the beginning. I want to understand how I can best help the family and what areas they specifically need support with. Communication is key to everything. I value being clear, listening well, following direction and guidance, and knowing that if questions or concerns ever come up, we can have an honest conversation about them.
I would love to build a trusting relationship with the family and be a small, positive part of their everyday life. My goal is to support the parents, care for their children, and help make their days a little easier while becoming someone they can truly depend on.

My experience with special needs children...
I also have personal experience with autism through my older sibling, who is 27. Growing up, I’ve had the opportunity to learn how his brain works, how he processes things, and how to understand and support him. I’ve learned that autism isn’t something that takes away from who someone is, but can be a unique gift and perspective.
Working with children with special needs can sometimes require extra patience, understanding, and flexibility, but I find it incredibly rewarding. Seeing a child experience new things, pursue their goals and dreams, and accomplish something they’ve worked hard for is so special. If I have the opportunity to be a small part of helping a child grow, feel supported, and reach their goals, that would truly be a gift to me.

The most important part about being a nanny...
II’ve always wanted to be a mom; as long as I can remember, it has been one of my biggest dreams. Being able to work with children and be someone they know will care for, love, and support them alongside their mom and dad is such a special opportunity.
One of my favorite moments while caring for children was when a child would say, “I want Mommy.” I would reassure them and say, “Let’s give it five minutes, and if you still want her, I’ll take you to her.” So often, within those five minutes, they would become excited about an activity, game, or simply playing with me on the floor. Seeing them go from missing their parents to feeling safe, comfortable, and genuinely having fun was so rewarding.
I believe being a caregiver is incredibly special. It is a responsibility, but also a calling and a gift. I would be honored to have the opportunity to care for children, encourage them, and be someone they know they can trust.
