More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Recently last summer I worked at a day camp that had kids in strollers all the way to middle schoolers. Throughout everyday I took care of different age groups and taught them different forms of art. I also conducted immense conversations with all age groups concerning important things they should know such as the benefits of good hygiene, the importance of being nice to others, communication, and so many more important life lessons they can apply anywhere.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Consists of anything with the arts such as drawing, singing, acting, dancing. Something I also love to do is create activities that allow kids to immerse themselves into a place where they have to use critical thinking in a fun way though to the point where they don’t even realize that something they thought was hard isn’t. I also love going on walks and exploring.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part is being an overall role model. The point of a nanny is to essentially step in as another parent but also create a boundary that you are not the parent so that the kid/ kids remain in good standing relationship wise with their parents. Being a nanny, you can carry a big influence and impact on your kids so it’s a very big task that needs to be taken seriously at all times.
My experience with special needs children...
Is very set. At the same camp I mentioned above, there were special needs groups as well that I taught. Also throughout my years of being in school I actually befriended a lot of special needs people because I didn’t like how people left them out or neglected them because of their condition. My eyes do not discriminate against people, especially children. Everyone is capable of everything.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A funny moment I experienced a lot when working with kids is their overall fascination when it comes to how I look and the things we do. For example, I am a person of color so I do wear protective styles and I love to switch my hair. I noticed that not only do I love it but the kids do as well. With my experience, me changing my hair has kept kids enthusiastic and ready to be in my care because they can’t contain the excitement of guessing what hair I can be doing. Sometimes when allowed I was able to style this hair as well which was nice because kids look at you as a role model so when a kid comes up to y out and asks for the same hairstyle as you, it’s very touching.

Growing up in such a lively household helped me naturally develop patience, responsibility, and a love for being around children. I enjoy creating a warm, fun, and supportive environment where kids can learn, grow, and feel comfortable being themselves
