More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In high school, I took an ECE course at Mills High School in 2016, where they had a daycare/preschool dedicated to preparing students for careers in child development, teaching, and human services. Each student was assigned a child to observe and evaluate throughout the school year. We took detailed notes, wrote essays and diary entries, and, at the end of the year, met with the parents to discuss our observations, including the child’s behavior, milestones, and development.
Through this program, I learned techniques to foster learning at the preschool level, created lesson plans at least twice a month, and developed the knowledge and skills necessary to run a preschool or ECE center.
In both middle and high school, I volunteered at after-school programs, where I helped children with their homework at Lomita Park Elementary School and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love engaging in various activities with children, like doing art projects—painting, coloring, and exploring parks together. I enjoy reading with them, singing, and even creating music playlists tailored for kids. It’s so much fun to learn and dance to songs like “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” and “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes.”
Teaching children about the importance of nature is also something I’m passionate about. I believe it’s never too early to learn to care for the environment, and there are plenty of activities that can help showcase the beauty of nature in a way that’s engaging for them.
The specific activities I do with children depend on their age. For babies, I focus on age-appropriate activities that help with their development, ensuring every interaction is fun and enriching.

The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is helping little ones grow, explore the world, and discover who they are and what they’re capable of. I’m not just there to “watch” a child and get paid; I’m there to genuinely care for them, ensure their safety, and actively support their development and milestones. I truly love what I do, and being a positive part of a child’s journey is something I’m passionate about.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny is witnessing a baby’s “firsts.” Their first word, the first time they wave, take their first steps, or even try a new food—each one fills me with so much joy. It’s the simple things that mean the most to me, and being a part of these milestones is always a beautiful experience. I love seeing how these amazing little humans view the world, their eagerness to explore, and their wonder at everything around them. It truly makes me emotional, and I feel so grateful to be part of their journey.
