A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Keira Ramirez. I am 20 years old and currently a student at NIU. I have been working with children aged newborn-13 years over the last 8 years of my life through babysitting, children gyms, coaching soccer, and even being a teacher at a local daycare from my home town. I am teacher qualified for daycare aged children, have my infant toddler credential, CPR and first aid certified, have my food handlers permit, and an overall passion for working with children. I have plenty of experience working with children with special needs including those with anger outburst and children with ASD. Over the last year I was the head teacher of the infant room at the daycare I worked at where I really worked on developing many skills with the children in my care, such as speech, fine motor, singing, dancing, and learning abilities. Building a strong connection with the children and families in my care is the most rewarding part of the job for me and I hope to continue to do that!
