I have worked in two school districts as an aide to students who had emotional and behavioral issues. I worked along side staff to support students to meet their individual needs.
I assisted students while eating lunch and toileting Issues.
Worked with staff to devise strategies for reinforcing learning materials and skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests and abilities. I assumed responsibilities for learning and adapting to individual students medical, physical, communicative, and emotional needs.

I primarily work with children on the autism spectrum. I have extensive experience working alongside one one with non verbal children.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My most fond moment working in a care taker roll would be that the student was having a hard time with a puzzle and had given up. The Supervisor asked me to try and working alongside the student we were successfully able to finish it.

If I got this job I would probably even bring some of my own old toys to play with them depending on their age lol! I do collect Littlest Pet Shop figures. Again depending on their age I would even do some crafts with them! and for meals I may spoil them depending on their behavior but I will always add a little healthy food on the side!
