Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I just recently left my position as a Lead Teacher at the Childtime Daycare in Baldwinsville to pursue my degree. I was a teacher in the toddler room. I supervised and cared for 10-12 toddlers ranging in ages from 18 months through 3 years old. I planned daily activities, guided meal times, and executed successful nap times! I also worked as a summer camp counselor at Camp Talooli in my teenage years. I’ve worked with many different personalities, and ages of children.

I love doing arts and crafts, making fun foods, or playing games. Playing outdoor tag games, or water games in the summer. I like to change my plans depending on what each child likes to do and their interests.

The most important part about being a nanny to me is that the kids are happy, cared for, and learning! Kids are happiest when they’re discovering all the new things around them. Watching kids learn and grow is such a rewarding experience.

I have tons of stories to share about the children that I have cared for! Some of my favorites are when my toddlers used to copy my mannerisms and language! I always clap for the toddlers when they do something independently or practice something they’ve learned. One time they clapped at me because I came back into the room after having a bathroom break. They said “Miss Kelly went potty!”. I found it absolutely hilarious. They love to narrate your every move!
Another one of my favorites is when one of the little girls in my classroom would always give me a hug before she left for the day. It means so much to have a child miss you as a teacher!
