I've participated as an instructor for multiple years at my local dance/cheer summer camps, specifically working with preschool aged children. I also volunteered in the early-education center at my K-12 school while in high school.

I'm a kid at heart, so I love interacting with children with just about any activity! Whether it's arts & crafts, teaching them to help bake, playing at the park, reading books, exploring nature etc. if you want your child to do it, I'll make it happen.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny for me is the love of being a nanny. You need to love being around children and helping them develop. You need to be fun, enthusiastic, and nurturing. Being punctual, trust-worthy, and flexible in schedule is a must for me to help build those bonds not only with the kids but with the parents as well!

While I have no paid-experience with special needs children, I have paid-experience with special needs adults and have experience with my nephew with autism.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was nannying a three-year old girl to a single mother. While she couldn't pay me much I did everything I could to help her with her home and child. Not understanding what it's like being a single-mother [not having any children of my own], I had empathy and compassion to understand how hard it would be to be in her shoes. I was able to help this mother out with taking care of her home and her child, giving her some very much needed relief and time to spend with her child within her very busy schedule.
