More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have several years of hands-on childcare experience in a variety of settings. I’ve nannied for families with 1 to 4 children, including infants, and also worked at a licensed daycare during high school while completing three years of child development courses. I’ve coached gymnastics for kids of all ages, helping them stay active, safe, and engaged. I enjoy crafts, outdoor play, and teaching new concepts, and would love to help with homeschooling. I’m CPR certified and will be a nationally licensed EMT-Basic by August 5th, giving me strong healthcare knowledge. I’m looking to build a long-term connection with a family and provide dependable, nurturing care.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing a mix of activities with children, like fun crafts and creative projects, as well as outdoor play and exploring nature. I also really enjoy teaching them new things—whether it's through hands-on learning, reading together, or explaining new concepts in simple ways. I would love the opportunity to help with homeschooling and be part of their growth and learning every day.
The most important part about being a nanny...
A strong, loving bond with the children is the foundation for everything else. Nannies should be attuned to their needs, provide consistent and responsive care, and create a sense of security and trust. That goes for not only the kids but the family as a whole.
My experience with special needs children...
In high school for one year I took a class called Peer-Assistance and also accompanied them to Special Olympics. In this class I got to hang out with some peers that became like family to me. I also got to assist and interact in Special Olympics and built a ton of bonds that I will never forget.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when the toddler I cared for surprised me by reciting the colors in Spanish all on his own after we had been practicing them during our walk. It was such a proud moment to see something we worked on together really click for him. Moments like that, watching a child learn, grow, and get excited about it, are what make nannying so rewarding for me.
