More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been working with children for seven years, starting with babysitting and growing into professional nannying. Over the years, I’ve cared for many families and gained diverse experience in both home and childcare settings. For three years, I worked at a daycare for children with special needs, supporting children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. I also completed a four-year Early Childhood Education program in high school, where I earned my CDA certificate. From August 2024 to June 2025, I was an au pair in Paris which was an incredible experience that deepened my love for childcare and cultural exchange. I am currently a nanny for a 4-month-old baby and a child with severe autism, continuing to build on my skills in patience, adaptability, and individualized care.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I especially enjoy doing creative activities with children like coloring, painting, crafts, dancing, baking, and playing with dolls or other toys alike. I think those are great ways to bond the child and nanny. I also do love being outside and playing out side is not one fun for everyone, but the best for children. Playing sports, running jumping, creating games or playing games is always fun and a good way to expel energy for children. I also love reading with children!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is making a true connection and having an impact on and with the children. From playing, to eating dinner, to picking them up from school, and to bedtime routine, each thing you do as a nanny has an impact on the child. Being able to help them thrive in their daily lives and routine, and being a safe place for them apart from their parents/family is such an amazing thing for both the nanny and child.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked at a school/aftercare for children with special needs, and I worked there for 3 years (I was aged 15-18). It was such an amazing experience to work with children of all abilities and to practice individualized care while being in a group setting with the children. The children had a range of disabilities, from autism, birth defects, cerebral palsy, and much more. Each amazing child had their own specific needs that we made sure to meet while also helping them learn socially, academically, physically and emotionally. Currently, I am a nanny to a child with severe autism, which is a much different experience than working with children at school or aftercare. It is much more individuated and helping the child thrive and learn and play at their own home.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I was an Au Pair in France and the 2 year old girl I watched who didn't speak much English but definitely understood it, said "I love you" to me for the first time. She only knew a few basic English words and I really wanted her to say it so she could surprise her mom. We were all so excited when she said it in her adorable little French accent and it was such a fun memory I wish I could go back to!
