I have several years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. I worked at a summer camp for five years, including three years as the Director of Early Care, where I helped supervise younger campers and plan activities. I have also worked in a YMCA after-school program supporting children with homework, games, and daily routines. In addition, I have experience providing ABA therapy, where I supported children in developing communication, behavioral, and life skills. I have also worked as a substitute teacher in elementary schools, which has given me experience managing classrooms and working with children of different ages and needs.

I have meaningful experience working with children with special needs, particularly children with autism. I have a family member with autism, which has given me personal insight and understanding into the importance of patience, structure, and supportive communication. Professionally, I have worked with children with autism while providing ABA therapy, where I supported the development of communication, behavioral, and daily living skills through structured strategies and positive reinforcement. I have also worked with students with autism while substituting in elementary school classrooms, helping support their learning, routines, and social interactions throughout the school day. These experiences have helped me develop strong skills in patience, flexibility, and creating supportive environments that meet each child’s individual needs.
