More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I volunteered with my church's 3 to 5 year old class on wednesdays and Sundays for 2 years. I babysat for the kids in my neighborhood as well as some of the siblings of my brothers teammates from his baseball team. I watched my cousins baby girl a lot over the past few months, while he was moving to Euless. I'm currently a CNA/Caregiver and have been for the last 2 years for dementia patients.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoor: I love reading to kids because I think it's important in child development for them to be read to at least twice a day. Puzzles are a great past time for some of the older kids. I absolutely love playing and building with Legos. My brothers and I constantly have Nerf gun battles and video game tournaments (even if I am really bad at it). I also have a huge collection of coloring books that I'll bring with me if I know the kid(s) I'm watching like to color.
Outdoor: I'm a big fan of water balloon fights and trampoline games. I'm a decent swimmer, and I'm good at hide-n-go-seek. Sprinklers are also a great way to cool down in the summer while also watering the lawn.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is making sure that the kids you're watching know that they are important and that they are safe with you.
My experience with special needs children...
I have some experience with kids with down syndrome, but most of my experience with special needs lies with autism and dyslexia, as I have a couple of cousins that I've babysat who have autism or dyslexia.
