Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am the oldest of 7 and have been babysitting for a very long time! I am a lot of experience with children of all ages and environments. I have worked in daycares, and I also worked at Memorial Highschool where I was an assistant girls basketball coach. I have been a nanny in the past in the Tulsa area while I was in college around [phone number hidden]. I have trained children’s basketball since 2014.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
My 2 year old and I love being outside every day. We are always in the look out for things to do in our area. We love the park, gathering place, and of course the pool all the time in the summer! We enjoy being active and going on walks/hikes. We love sports we play basketball, soccer, and anything else we can find. We are very active people and I love being able to see children being carefree and enjoying themselves just having fun.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is being attentive and caring. As a nanny I believe it is our job to be the safe place away from the parents. All nanny experiences should be a positive for children and always have a lasting impact.
My experience with special needs children...
I do not have experience with special needs children, but I am more than willing to learn and accommodate to any child’s needs. Though so I do have experience, I am willing to work with all children no matter the circumstances with the same love, affection, and care as any other child. Special needs children are amazing and I would love to care for them, love them, and all of the things all children need and deserve.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when I was babysitting two little girls and their mom allowed me to take them to freezing cow for ice cream. The walk there was full of laughs, jokes, and a little education on the things they seen along the way and street safety. It was very fun and I enjoyed seeing them smile and eat ice cream on my behalf! I love children because they’re so willing to learn, they love new experiences and they always teach me something new. I love picking their brain and finding out the things they like and why. I strive to be the person I needed when I was a child and that is my main goal is to be positive role model and trusted source outside of their family and friends.
