My experience with special needs children...
I have had the privilege of working with special needs children in several meaningful ways! As a member of the LDS Church, I taught a Primary class that included a little girl with Down syndrome. I got to know her well and loved helping her feel included and valued! Additionally, during my time at Skyridge High School, I was enrolled in the peer tutor program for all four years. This experience allowed me to work closely with students of varying abilities, building relationships, offering support, and learning how to adapt to different needs. These experiences have taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of seeing every child’s unique potential!
