Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I raised four children as a single parent, giving me extensive hands-on experience managing the needs of a busy household while providing a stable, nurturing environment. I was highly involved in my children’s schools—serving on the PTO, volunteering regularly, and acting as a room parent—while also coordinating and supporting their many extracurricular activities-ballet, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, basketball and sailing. Through these experiences, I developed strong skills in organization, communication, patience, and creating a structured but fun environment where children can feel supported and thrive.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love staying active and engaged with kids—whether it’s starting the day with a walk or heading to the playground for some fresh air and playtime. I also enjoy cooking and baking, especially making cookies from scratch and letting my kids have fun decorating them. Creativity is a big part of how I connect with little ones, so I like incorporating art projects, crafts, and imaginative play like dress-up into our time together.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Not a nanny moment, but plenty of real-life mom moments! I worked in DC for many years and know the area well, so I was always taking my kids to museums, parks, and new places to explore. It was important to me that they experienced new environments, met different people, and had as many opportunities as possible.
