Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked with a patient who was 12 years old and has Autism, along with a 39 year old woman who has a neurological brain disorder. I loved the opportunity to help both patients and take care of them. I have also had experience watching my niece who is now 6, and nephews ages 8 & 11. I love being able to help guide kids/adults with learning!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
A few indoor activities I normally do with children would be, coloring, watching movies, playing board games, etc. a few outdoor activities would be, playing in the snow, going for walks or bike rides, going to local parks (of course depending on the weather)
My experience with special needs children...
I have worked with a girl who is 13 years old for about a year and a half to two years. She has autism and would be with her almost daily! I loved the experience of working with her as I taught and helped her with a lot but she helped me with learning a lot as well!
