I was an at home babysitter from 15 to 18 years old. I also raised my cousin from when he was born until he was about seven and I was only 16.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to do a lot of arts and crafts. I am very artistic, so I love making painting, drawing and coloring activities for children to do. I love going outside and connecting with nature. I love playing board games and also love letting the kids come up with ideas for games they invent. I also love cooking and I love having kids help me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is making sure that the children are safe. For me it doesn’t matter if it’s my own children or if it’s a child that I don’t even know, I will always make sure that they are safe.
My experience with special needs children...
I worked with my mom as her bus aide for children with special needs for 3 years so that’s where my experience began. There were many different disabilities that I have encountered working with my mom. My baby brother, my nephew, and my son are all autistic, and I am around them all the time, so I am very aware of how autistic children behave.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I don’t have a specific favorite moment with a specific child, but I just love making children happy. Being able to put a smile on childrens faces means everything to me.
