A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Kiara and I am 20 years old. I studied early childhood education at College of the Desert in my first year, but am now pursuing business. Working with kids on the daily has always been my passion and making connections with little kiddos is what fills my heart! There truly is nothing else I would rather be doing. I enjoy singing, dancing, sports, and more! Being active is very important in my life so I try as best as I can to encourage the kids to do the same. I also have experience with distanced learning and can assist with online sessions. (Also fully vaccinated and Covid conscious. ;))

I am enrolled at the local community college and have taken several early education classes/credits. I have also taken childhood developmental psychology courses to aid me in my like of work.

I play tennis and I love showing my kids how to play! I love to go on adventures in nature and create fun art projects like decorating plant pots for gardening.

The most important thing to me is connecting with these tiny humans as if they are my own.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for my autistic cousin and her two sisters. I used to volunteer at a young age with the special needs classes and I had so much fun! I’d love to work with these beautiful children more if the opportunity presented itself.

In my first day with my current family I am about the leave, the 8 year old said, “Kiara, you are a really good nanny.” No joke! I thought it was so genuine and sweet.
