Hello, my name is Kiauni I’m freshly 20 years old. I graduated in 2022 with a 4.0 gpa. I currently work as I am trying to save money for college tuition. One day I would love to be a physiologist/ social worker. I’ve babysat my own siblings and family friends with all different needs and personalities. The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is being trustworthy,patient and creative. most kids are very nervous and anxious when someone new enters their life so building trust with them will allow them to feel more open too being friends instead of isolation. Of course being patient with children is always a must sometimes things just can't go their way and it can be very frustrating for the child but patients and understanding allows you too really tap into how they feel and how to find a creative way for them to continue to enjoy an activity or even a nap time

My experience with special needs children...

I don't have much experience with special needs children but I am always willing to learn more about how to help and attend to their needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment as a nanny/teacher would have to be when my toddlers or school age students struggle with spelling or colors and they come back days later so excited because they have finally learned what a color is or how to spell their name or even just sharing to make their friends feel better. It's honestly so beautiful to see a child's mind grow and understand emotion and critical thinking.
