More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Before I moved to Fullerton for school, I was a volunteer at my church for 2 years and 6 months for children ranging from 5 months to 5 years old.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I have the most experience with children aged 2 to 3. At that age, the children typically enjoy playing pretend with their toys. That can include playing with dolls, pretend cooking in a toy kitchen, or racing cars. Alternatively, I color with the kids, allowing them to display their creative side, as well as read to them. Regardless of how simple a book may be, reading to children allows them to have their understanding and comprehension skills tested and developed.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is making sure that a child is safe and happy. A child has to enjoy the time they spend with you, or else they will not appreciate the time you spend together; however, in the end, the priority will always remain the safety and well-being of a child.

My experience with special needs children...

I have had little experience with children with special needs, and either the little experience I have had or the time we spent together lasted between 1 and 2 hours. In my experience, you have to work with the children at their pace but also have boundaries set in place for the child to still be able to learn through the time spent together.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I take care of kids in a lot of different settings, but notably, at my church I served the earliest service with 2- to 3-year-olds for about 2 and a half years, and throughout those years there was this little girl who would not play most, if anything at all, throughout every 1 and a half hours I would spend with her each Sunday; however, in December 2025 I was dressed up as an angel during our church's holiday block party. While dressed up, I ran into the little girl with her family, and she just lit up with joy seeing me, which melted my heart. After that weeked everytime her mom would drop her off she would tell my how much her daughter loved seeing me and how much she talked about me. To know that I was positively impacting this baby despite not having that much time spent with her just made me feel really happy and reminded me why I love to take care of kids.
