I have been working with kids since for over 15 years, I started babysitting at the age of 12 and began working professionally at the YMCA Early Childhood Development Center at 19. Since then I have been a private nanny for local families, and currently work at at a daycare/preschool.

I grew up in the country and love hands-on outdoors activities! Whether it is going to the park to learn about nature and exercise, or spending a day at the zoo. Learning alongside kiddos brings me joy, reading educational books or visiting a museum such as OMSI is a wonderful pastime. I like to help my young friends grow skills that will help them thrive, such as cleaning up after yourself and basic self care. Fostering independence is so important, I prefer letting children learn age-appropriate skills and only intervene when needed.

As a young adult I struggled with acne, and once had the sweetest 4 year old ask why I had polka dots on my face! I still laugh about that to this day, their curiosity and innocence is the best part of the job.
