I was baking sweet potato brownies with a 5 and 6 year old. They were both very picky eaters. I asked them if they wanted to try the baked sweet potato before mixing it in and they both said, "no!". So I told them, "Every good chef tried their food as they go." and they both gave it a lick. Later, they asked for some of the chocolate chips and I said "No, we will have a sweet treat once the brownies are done." The 6 year old then exclaimed, " Every good chef tries their food as they go!" Touché. They then received a couple of chocolate chips to munch on!
