Hello! My name is Kobe, a little about my experience: I raised my brothers, one of which is autistic. I’ve nannied, tutored, been a caregiver, been a paraprofessional, and have been a 4-year old pre-k teacher. I have worked with kids with different abilities, special needs, and behaviors. I want to make a positive impact on every kid I meet! I want them to know they can do whatever they set their minds to and choose their own paths in life. I also have a 3 year old nephew who is my best friend; he’s told me “you’re my hero, uncle”.
I also have two pups, so no issue with dogs!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

As a teenager, I volunteered to read to elementary school kids for three years. I also volunteered to work with day care kids, working on the alphabet, weather, and more with them.

As a young adult I worked with an Easter Bunny photography set up, working with kids of all ages. I tutored with writing, english, history, and arts. Still available for after-school tutoring.

I worked through a program to help special needs kids, working for my autistic brother. I baby sat my friends toddler who has autism and nonverbal. I also hung out a lot with their teen nephew, who also has special needs and anger issues.

I was a paraprofessional at a special needs behavioral k-12 school for about a year before relocating for my wife’s job. I have also been a teacher for 4 year olds in preschool.

Lastly, I have a 3 year old nephew I watch and keep regularly. He adores me and I him, like he’s my own.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Activities! Whether it be interactive or worksheets! I loved making a curriculum for my 4 year olds based on a different theme every two weeks.
I like to bake, play board or card games, watch movies, reading or drawing. I love going in nature walks, sports, puzzles; coloring, crafts, legos. I love exploring art museums and other museums and other educational places. I love to do food-based activities when I can as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I want to make a positive impact on every kid I meet! I love teaching and interacting with kids of different ages and abilities.

My experience with special needs children...

My brother is on the autism spectrum. I practically raised him. Then was a caregiver for him-working on education, life skills, tiktoks, daily walks; and worked on going out in public.
In high school I was also able to connect with a kid on my bus who was on the spectrum as well.
I was also a paraprofessional at a special needs behavioral school.
