More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have cared for children from 0-18 years old, I have 4 wonderful grown children.
My last nanny position that recently ended, the children were 2 and 4 when I started and I loved seeing them grow, change, learn, and especially laugh.
I was only with them for only 2 years, situation changed, and I enjoyed every minute.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Of course it all depends on the age, gender, and the childs interests.
Indoors, with the children, I enjoy art projects, building structures (such as Legos, Aectosets, forts, and metal cars), reading, puzzles, games, playing dress-up, cooking, homework, watching a movie, and teaching the dog new tricks.
For outdoors, with the children, I enjoy nature hikes, lizard catching, gardening, the beach, swimming, festivals, art shows, flower hunting, paddlebording, kayaking, biking, strolls, playing eye spy, teaching, and meeting new friends and dogs along the way.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Trust. I believe without trust everything else is unpleasant for everyone and the cessation of the job would be inevitable.
That is why I believe good communication is so important along with good listening skills.

My experience with special needs children...
My oldest son has Autism and I am very knowledgeable in this subject
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was teaching the 4 year old girl how to write her name and discovered she was dyslexic. So I had to change my approach and be much more patient.
We worked on writing her name for 6 months when one day she just went up to the chalkboard and wrote her name. It was a thrill to see her learning and her excitement in doing so.
