My background covers over thirty years of experience. I’ve taught elementary school children from kindergarten to eighth grade. I also taught for Head Start and Early Head Start programs from newborn to five year olds I have a degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Early Childhood and reading. I’ve just completed a class on dyslexia

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I have the ability and resources to entertain your children that they won’t even care about missed screen time. Reading is a priority to me because it can truly change your child’s life. Board games and outside activities and anything else that interests them will be accomplished

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure I have a good communication with the other adults in the child’s life. Building a relationship with each child to make sure they know I can be there to support and cheer them on in any way possible. Reading a lot too!

My experience with special needs children...

Differently able has played a huge role in the education field. I’ve followed IEPs, behavior plans, and other behavioral and social skills. Early Head Start gave me the tools to identify and manage special needs at a very young age and I taught special education preschool students.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was helping a child to read Clifford the Big Red Dog. He could not remember from each page the name Clifford so he kept changing it to Charlie or Chester ,or Clyde even if I kept reminding him. So finally we finished. He ran up to another teacher to her the news that he had just read his first whole book ever! I could see that he was trying to remember the name of the book. He got worried looking back at me and then said “Oh you know that big red dog!”. He spent all afternoon telling everyone that he’d read his first book and had to copy title so he could tell his mom that he wanted more books
