The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and dependable environment where children feel supported and understood. It’s about more than just childcare—it’s about being a positive, consistent presence in a child’s life. I believe in nurturing their emotional and developmental growth, helping them build confidence, learn through play, and feel genuinely cared for. I also understand how important trust and communication are with parents, and I always strive to be someone families can rely on, day in and day out.
My experience with special needs children...
• Extensive personal experience with special needs care through my 18-year-old brother, who has severe autism and a rare neurological disorder called SYNGAP1, which causes both autism and epilepsy
• Skilled in administering medication safely and appropriately, managing meltdowns, and creating a calm, supportive environment
• Experienced in communicating and engaging with individuals with developmental delays, both verbal and non-verbal
• Comfortable interacting with and caring for special needs/service animals, as our family has one for my brother

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was watching one of the boys I cared for win his swim tournament. I had been driving him to lessons, cheering him on at practices, and watching him grow more confident in the water. Seeing all his hard work pay off and how proud he was in that moment made me feel like I had truly made a difference in his life. Moments like that remind me why I love being a nanny.
