A little bit about me

I am a soon to be certified infant toddler teacher, I have 10+ experience of working with children. My experience ranges from just babysitting for family, friends or neighbors, to a professional nanny, to after school stem program teacher, to daycare/infant teacher employee. I have experience with children from ages newborn to 13 years old. I also have a deep passion for caring for children and aiding their developmental growth. I grew up at my nana’s daycare watching her care for children and have decided that until I am able to open my own home daycare, my passion and purpose is to care for children in any setting. I am currently an infant teacher, I absolutely adore what I do and excel at it but I also miss being able to connect with a family and form a connection with them and their child/children. I am an open book and could go on for days about my passion!! Please feel free to reach out with any questions!!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I started off as a babysitter for my sisters, cousins, neighbors and family friends. From there I began nannying as a teenager part time after school or during the summer. When I was finished with high school I began working at a gym daycare center but quickly went back to nannying as I realized that I liked connecting with smaller groups of children. My passion began to grow and I decided to expand and try something to new to gain more experience and knowledge. I started going to college to obtain my infant toddler teacher certification which I am one credit away from now. While doing that I began as a teacher for a stem based after school program for children K-5th grade. Once I completed the school year and had the credits necessary to become an infant teacher that is exactly when I did and what I still currently do. I would love to talk in more detail about my experiences with you!!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love having outdoor time. I think fresh air is amazing for so many different reasons but it also opens the door to so many more experiences, learning opportunities, and teaching moments. I also love to do arts and crafts and reading, I think both of those are fantastic ways to get children going with their fine motor skills as well as their cognitive development! There is so many more fun things to do but those are just a few of my favorites!

The most important part about being a nanny...

Safety is absolutely first and foremost. My responsibility as a nanny is to ensure the safety and well being of the child first. Although, creating the bond and relationship with the child and family is also important. As is aiding in the development of the child/children. There are so many important parts to being a nanny!
