Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I was working at Sacred Heart Plus in highschool, where I facilitated and interacted with children ages 3-14. I worked through the summer as well, assisting with field trips and meal times. I feel very comfortable feeding, toileting, and changing young children or those with special needs.
I attended valley high school where I also partook in peer partner classes, where we were able to do activities with students who had special needs and needed extra help. I find it very rewarding to be able to teach or guide those who may need a little bit of extra instruction.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Going to the pool or park, or playing outside in general. I really enjoy doing crafts and art projects if that is something they take interest in. I also enjoy coloring, puzzles, or we can even play with toys all day if that’s their passion.

Keeping the kids safe. It is important for me to recognize individuals are trusting me with the most important things in their lives. I always take into account the parents potential thoughts or opinions before making a decision, and will always ask if I am not sure.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for mostly school-aged children with special needs, but would definitely be comfortable with someone younger or older. I have looked after a few family friends’ children with special needs and have been able to handle feeding, changing (if needed), and doing activities just the same.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Just getting to see them grow and learn new things, sometimes things they can show off to mom and dad when they get home.
