Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I babysat for my moms friend, which lasted up until I moved here to Colorado in june 2024 (would’ve been 4 years in september). She always said I did great and even paid me a little extra because after I got the kids to bed I would clean up the living room of their toys, and would wash the dishes I used as well as the dishes that were already in the sink. She said it was a shame I was moving because her kids didn’t get along with many other people and I was their favorite.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoyed taking the kids to the park if it was still sunny out. I enjoy playing dolls with girls and playing games with boys. I also enjoy asking them what their favorite foods are and coming to a conclusion together on what they want for dinner, making sure it has all the things it needs on the plate. And I also really enjoy art.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Making sure the kids are comfortable with me. asking questions to get to know the kids and keeping friendly attitudes with everyone. Getting to know the parents and asking about allergies and any medical issues the kids might have. Making sure all the kids go to bed clean and well fed.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not, however I’m more than capable of learning how to care for them properly and equally.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I had brought the girls I was babysitting to the park that was right down the road from them and they kept begging me to let them run through the sprinklers until I gave in and they pulled me along with them. It was cute and I had a lot of fun babysitting those girls.
