A little bit about me

Hello! I was born and raised in the north eastern part of South Dakota. My husband and I just moved to Texas because he got stationed here!
I have never been a nanny, but I did have the opportunity and sadly had to turn it down due to moving. I was a lead teacher in a 2 year old classroom for almost a year. I loved watching the kids grow up, move into new classrooms, and watching them learn new things as the days went on!
I love being outdoors and exploring. I am currently going to school online through WGU to get a bachelor's in elementary education!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a lead teacher at First Adventure Learning Center in a 2 year old classroom. I opened the room in the mornings, greeted the children and their parents while providing information to the parent on how their child was doing at school during the day! I created newsletters or lesson plans to keep the children learning. For example, Thursdays we did art and sensory bins, Tuesday and Friday I made an assortment of fine motor activities. These were just a few things I came up with! In my room I focused heavily on manners and caring for yourself and others.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy talking with kids and hearing their stories they love to share. My nephew and I play dinosaurs and cars a lot! Where as my favorite things to do with the kids at the childcare center included : making fake flower pots for mom, "the animal game" which the kids have to line up on the wall and while I play animal sounds they run to the other side of the room like that animal. For example, if I played a bear and said "crawl like a bear!" the children would crawl to the other side of the room on all fours like a bear! It was their favorite game when we had extra time. The kids and I loved doing art and decorating our window in the classroom, I tried switching the window once a month with art decorations. Most times i had them pick out of 2 options what we decorate the window to be! The list could go on and on!
