My experience with special needs children...

I have worked at a school for kids on the spectrum and at a home for men on the spectrum. At the school I created lessons, helped with socializing and created a routine. At the men's home it was more physical care, I would help them use the bathroom, shower, cook, and take out to go grocery shopping and become a part of society. I loved both jobs and am wanting to go to school for special education after I graduate this year!

The most important part about being a nanny...

when I was a nanny for 4 boys we would make forts and have nerf war fights. it was so fun to just let go and be a kid again. we laughed, got out lots of energy, used a lot of teamwork and made such good memories.
