As a mother I’m always caring for children. I still have two a 4 year old and a 13 year old. I’ve been in child care for a long time. I’ve worked in daycares, been a babysitter, and also traveled with children, my own as well as others. When I’m caring for children I see them as my own. I’m responsible for them and to take care of them until you the parent or caregiver return home.

I enjoy reading to and with children, coloring, doing puzzles. I like teaching them to learn through different songs I make up. I also like to engage in different things and ideas that the children may have.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I’m helping the growth of children. Showing and sharing love with them while their parents are trying to better their lives. Sometimes as parents we have to do what we have to do. As parents we want our children to be and do better then what we’ve done. As a nanny it’s inspirational knowing that I was apart of that 🥰.
My experience with special needs children...
I’ve taken care of children with seizures, Down syndrome, hyperactivity, as well as children with feeding tubes. When I had my first child I babysat a child that had seizures and outbursts. To this day this young man is married with children of his own and still knows, love , and respects me to this day. I have taken care of a little girl with Down syndrome. I’ve been in her life basically all of her life. Her mother is a good friend of mine. I have a little cousin with special needs that had to eat through a feeding tube, and know is eating on his own. I also have an autistic grandson that doesn’t speak, he just make’s sounds and facial expression but communicates well with me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is when the kids see me coming and their faces light up. Just to know I make them happy and feel loved.
