More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I currently work (started March 2024) at a daycare 8am-5pm, taking care of 8mo-5yo children. My current daycare responsibilities include changing diapers, creating and leading activities, preparing lunch and snack, and encouraging children in their interactions with other children.
I worked at an elementary rec program for 2 consecutive years, where I prepared food, planned activities & games, organized field trips, and overall monitored the well being of 10-20 children and a time. This job ran during the school year -after school hours- as well as full time during the summers. I gained confidence during this job, as I learned how to be not only a leader for the children, but also a friend.
I also worked as a lifeguard for 5 years. I would watch 5-20 elementary aged children for two hours everyday with one other life guard. This job trained me to communicate effectively with children the importance of following rules.
I also was a babysitter all throughout high school.

I love any activity that gives children the chance to learn something.
Whether that be reading books, learning shapes and colors, singing songs, or playing outside, I take every activity seriously and guide each child through it.
I have found that my best activities with children are creative ones. I truly love creating activities that require paper, glue, sparkles, feathers, markers. I love to see children engage in making something with their hands.
I also love the outdoors. If your child wants to make a mud pie, you can bet I will be making one too! (and then clean us both up before going back inside, of course haha!
