A little bit about me

Hi. My name is LaToya Butler. I am a mother of 5 (2 sets of twins) and I've been a childcare provider and have continued studies in the health care field my entire adult life. I cared for several children when I was a teenager obtaining my CPR and childcare certification at the age of 15. As I became older and started a family of my own I continued to care for other families children in and out of the home. I love children and I love feeding young minds and just letting kids be kids.. . I am a firm avid believer in positive reinforcement and open communication all while respecting boundaries. I absolutely love helping people more than any monetary supplement. I'm a part time shift manager at Walgreens in my spare time, I enjoy fun educational experiences, cooking, watching a good movie and my slight OCD would be a great addition to any household, that being said I look forward to helping out in any way I can. The most important part about being a nanny...

I had a baby that cried and cried each time I would go over. His mom would leave and he would cry until he fell asleep. He just didnt like the way I looked being a stranger and the first person of color he had ever witnessed. After just a short week He would cry when I left. He wouldn't want me to give him to his mom at times. It made me feel so culturally responsible. Our bond grew strong I still am in contact with him and his family today.
