A little bit about me

Hi I’m Laura, growing up I always wanted my own daycare and was a Camp Counselor in HS, then in College I was a After School Care Counselor for 4 yrs and during that time I met 2 families I babysat during those 4 yrs and continued with both families for another 2/4 yrs. 1 Family Wood, had 2 newborns girls (1 was adopted) and 2 boys 4 and 5. The other family Valladeres, 2 children 4 and 7. Woods I was with for almost 8 years and Valladeres for 6 years. Then I switched careers and only did trips with them and started tutoring them as well. When I was an After School Care Counselor it was mandatory for us to take Child Psychology classes and get certified to work there. I really appreciate those classes because it taught me how children think and how not to and how to speak to them and not yell etc. That’s my history with children aside raising my niece, helping my sister the past 18 years.
I’m 45 and I’m ready to get back into childcare, realized that’s my passion!
