More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
For the past three years, I've nannied one girl, and have watched and helped her grow throughout every step of her development. In addition to this, I've babysat other children, and even lead a summer nanny share with two other toddlers.
When I lived in Chicago, I worked at the YMCA in various childcare positions, including at their daycare, after school programs, and summer camp. I also worked as an aid for autistic students and as a soccer and basketball coach for toddlers. At the YMCA, I worked with children as young as five weeks old and as old as fifteen years old throughout my experience.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I have tons of games I love playing with children both indoors and outdoors. I love doing crafts and more creative activities, but also find active activities to be super fun, and can keep up with the most active kiddos! I've worked with kids of all ages, and pride myself in my ability to tailor activities to different age groups, from sensory tables for babies to sculpture building with ten year olds.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important part of being a nanny is the ability to learn from the families you are working with. To be a good nanny, you need to constantly be watching and listening to the needs of others, and in turn, you need be ready to adjust your actions based off of your observations. Of course, kids are growing, and we want to help them grow in the best ways that they can, but it's important to remember how much we, as adults, are still growing alongside them. This acknowledgement and openness builds trust between a nanny and a family, and from that trust, everybody becomes better versions of themselves.
My experience with special needs children...
At the YMCA, I worked as an inclusion aid for three different children with autism between the ages of 5 and 8. I also have experience caring for babies with Down Syndrome. Additionally, I have ample experience with children with ADHD and trainings from the YMCA for working with children with all types of behavioral disorders.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have so many funny and cute stories that I can share here (and if we work together, they absolutely will come out), but my favorite moments working with kids are the moments that they show their trust in me. Trust is not given, it's earned, and it absolutely warms my heart to be able to grow the relationships I have with the kids I work with. This can look so different for so many different kids. It can be the teenager with a hard exterior opening up about problems at school or at home, or a shy child coming to sit by me while they color, or even the first time I make a baby laugh. These moments might seem small, but they matter, and it feels so special to know that I have become a person that a child knows that they have in their corner.

I would be a great babysitter because I am very empathetic, caring, and understanding with children. I have strong patience and communication skills, which help me handle different situations calmly and responsibly. As a college student with a 3.7 GPA studying child psychology, I am learning about children’s emotional, social, and mental development, which gives me a deeper understanding of how to care for and support them. Babysitter Available in Brooklyn, NY: Pamela W.
Hi, thank you so much for taking a look at my profile! I'm still young but have a bubbly personality. Since I was a child I loved working and caring for younger children. My family jokes and calls me the baby whisper haha. In 2017 I worked with classes of infants and toddlers through out the summer at a daycare. I have also worked with children who have epilepsy and autism. I also have experience in an adult daycare environment where I worked with adults with blindness, immobility and learning disabilities. I am open to all work environments and ages. I’m currently working full time as a flight attendant but before starting my career I worked as a full time nanny for a year and a half starting when the children were 4 months old!
